Staff Member of the Month

Staff+Member+of+the+Month

The Staff member pick of the Month is Mr. Malootian who has been a math teacher for 40 years, all at WHS! This year will be his last year teaching before retirement. Before Mr. Malootian was the teacher we see today, he started as a substitute teacher for a few months before pursuing a career as a full time math teacher. He says his favorite thing about teaching is, “seeing the reaction for a student when they understand the concept,” and seeing that lightbulb moment. He is involved with sports at WHS, as a coach for the Girls’ Tennis team and the Cross Country team. In his free time, he likes to spend it with his family, play tennis and pickleball, and go to the beach. When he retires, he plans to move down to the shore line and buy a camper to travel the U.S. with his wife. Mr. Malootian, thank you for your skills and expertise during your years here and enjoy your retirement.
