Clubs and sports teams at WHS have held various “pink outs” throughout October to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Interact Club held a “pink out” during school on Friday, October 20th, to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. They sold bandanas, bead necklaces, and ribbon pins in the morning and during the lunches, and students and faculty wore pink head to toe to show their support for the fight against breast cancer. Their “pink out” spilled over into the first football home game that night during Warriors Week, where the sports teams had their first home games on the new turf. Students and viewers were seen in the stands sporting their pinked-out outfits. Unified Sports, Field Hockey, Volleyball, and Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer had “pink outs” at their games throughout Warriors Week as well.
