For November, the Sophomore Student of the month was Nicole Rameriz. She was very thrilled to have achieved the honor of being the Student of the Month. She believes she received this award because she is always on time with her work, and puts her “all” into every assignment she is given. She was honored to know that Mrs. Hathaway ( her Enrichment teacher) was the one who had nominated her! Mrs. Hathaway shares why she chose Nicole as this month’s student, “Nicole is one of the hardest working sophomores I have this year. She is not only a great student, but a
wonderful, kind, honest, empathetic human. She will do great things!!!”
Nicole says that winning this award was a sign that teachers are recognizing her for her hard work and that it pays off in the long run. When asked who her role models in life are, she mentioned her mom. Nicole says that her mom has always shown her what hard work looks like and that regardless of any circumstances she always has the motivation to push through.
Not only is Nicole dedicated to her school work, but she was also in the recent WHS production, Radium Girls; a current member of the Student council; and a class officer for the class of 2026. Nicole lives her life by the one quote, “Motivation is the key to success,” which is why she is always striving to do well in school. She hopes to be top 5 in her class and graduate with all honors by the time she leaves WHS.
