On April 11th, Mr. Deziel’s Honors English classes visited Naugatuck Valley Community College, now known collectively as CTState. The idea to visit NVCC was sparked after a staff visit, and inspired both Mr. Deziel and the Junior counselors to accompany the trip. Initially, it was a way to give students a tour of the campus and see what the college had to offer for programs, but the tour also included guides on their featured courses. The tour highlighted the medical wing, which replicates a real hospital and has in depth courses on nursing, X-Ray technology, Radiology and more. It acted as a way to show students their options for college, highlighting how it doesn’t need to be expensive, and to tour the campus for any students interested in attending.
