The Freshman Student of the Month is Adriana Omeri. Adriana was really surprised when she found out she was Student of the Month and felt so proud of herself. Being Student of the Month is an honorary role to her, and represents a good example to other students. It also highlights her work and things that she has done well so far this school year.
Coming from 8th grade, Adriana has put a lot more focus and work into school this year and always tries her hardest in all her classes. Adriana is proactive with her school work. When she gets stumped or is having trouble understanding a challenging topic in school, she looks up videos and asks for help from her teachers to help her overcome any challenges as a new freshman.
Adriana’s high school goals are to be a part of National Honor Society, and to keep a healthy balance between school and sports, and try new things, like clubs and school activities. Adriana plays volleyball for the school and is interested in joining another school activity or club. After high school, Adriana would like to go to school and become a veterinarian.
The phrase, “Learn from your mistakes,” is something that inspires Adriana. It helps her with her school work and teaches her how to fix mistakes she may have made in the past, and “it makes [her] a better student.” Adriana’s advice for students interested in becoming Student of the Month, “always try and don’t worry about what people might have to think about you because you try or it’s not cool.” She also says to never be ashamed of yourself and your accomplishments, and always be proud of yourself.
