Every year, the National Honor Society (NHS) from WHS provides a safe Halloween event for elementary school students. This year, Trunk-or-Treat will be in the WHS bus loop on Thursday, October 24th at dusk. All students in the Watertown elementary/primary school’s will get a flier at their schools with all the necessary information about the event. The kids will be able to go trick or treating in a safe environment with their friends and/or siblings.
One of the NHS Advisors, Ms. Alves, shares how “One of the pillars of National Honor Society is community service” so this activity is a great way for the students involved to give back to Watertown. Only NHS students can volunteer to decorate their cars and give out candy, as they “worked so hard to get into NHS,” so it creates a fun environment for the students. At the same time, they also do good for their community. If you have siblings or kids in grades k-5, we hope to see you there!
