Lucas Augistine is the Sophomore Student of the Month for November. Everyday, Lucas wakes up with a positive attitude, ready to take on the day.When presented with this award, Lucas was very grateful and honored. His Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Bates, chose to give Lucas this award. “I am so impressed with how Lucas is doing so far this school year,” she wrote, “he is a kind and respectful young man.”

In his free time, Lucas enjoys playing basketball. He joined Watertown High School’s basketball team, alongside track and field. He dedicates hours each week to improve his skill and support his teammates.

His biggest inspiration to do his best everyday is his mother. “I wouldn’t be who I am today without my mother’s encouragement,” he says. “She has always been there to pick me up when I’m down and help me to do my best.” Everyday, Lucas puts in his best effort to help his classmates and teachers. He is looking forward to his next few years of high school.
