Meet Ryan Passaro, the Freshman Student of the Month for November! Ryan was nominated by Mrs. Nelson because, “he has great attendance, is respectful to staff and peers, and advocates for himself when he is having trouble.” Ryan also participates in group work and, “helps out other students when doing guided notes.”
Ryan feels very happy to be awarded Student of the Month. He believes he has earned it due to being a hardworking student. He has had a great transition from middle to high school, and has adjusted to high school very quickly. He enjoys the WHS community, and believes that the classes are interesting and a better environment to learn in. His favorite class this year is history, a subject he has loved his entire life. Ryan enjoys being involved in extracurricular activities, and plans to try out for the basketball team in the winter. He has been playing basketball since kindergarten, and it is a sport he greatly enjoys.
Ryan hopes to accomplish earning good grades this school year. In order to do so, he “follows the teachers directions and writes things down to stay organized with due dates.” This helps him not only earn good grades, but stay organized and motivated in school overall. Ryan is still deciding on his plans for after high school, but he is off to a great start this school year!
