Dr. Parlato Leaves WHS
On February 17th, Dr. Parlotto had her last day as Watertown High School’s Principal. She starts as the Superintendent of New Milford Public Schools on Tuesday, February 21st. Before coming to Watertown, she was a teacher and administrator at Berlin High School for 20 years. She says, “I was interested in leading a whole school district, which brings with it more responsibility.” She has worked in Watertown Public Schools for almost ten years and has had various positions around the District. In her new position, she hopes to continue the district’s progress and to help create great opportunities for all of the students in the system. One of Dr. Parlato’s notable accomplishments was adding a full day of school to kindergarten students and bringing back the Foods Program to WHS. Dr. Parlato remarks about leaving, “I thank the Watertown community and all of our families for their support over these past years. I have enjoyed interacting with our families and watching our students succeed.”
