On February 22nd, Mrs. Tansley started her first day as Interim Principal at WHS after Dr. Parlotto left to take a position as Superintendent of New Milford Public Schools. Tansley was motivated to come out of retirement and take this position based on her experience at other schools in the Wolcott District including being Principal for 12 years at Tyrrell Middle School, and Assistant Principal for 2 years at Wolcott High School.
Her goals for the remainder of the year include making students feel safe and making sure students get the maximum instructions needed. She also would like the community to be pleased about what WHS represents. While settling into her position, she would like to say, “I think supporting education is vital in a strong community and I think they’re putting their resources to a good cause.” We thank Mrs. Tansley for fulfilling this position and being our leader for the remainder of the year.
