WHS Homecoming 2023

WHS+Homecoming+2023

The WHS homecoming dance will be held at La Bella Vista on November 17th, 2023. All students, from all grade levels, are able to attend. Here’s some important information so you can be prepared for this year’s homecoming!

Homecoming begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 10pm, but students in attendance must stay until the crowning of King and Queen. Tickets purchased are non-refundable, and may not be transferred to another student. Administration reminds students, “All school rules apply at Homecoming. There will be a police presence and any students exhibiting illegal or inappropriate behavior may be asked to leave and disciplinary action will be taken.” Students who drive to homecoming will not be allowed to leave the hall to go out to their car during the dance.

Senior Co-Class Advisor and Math/CTE teacher, Chelsie Guerrera, gave some inside information about new changes. When students arrive at homecoming they will be directed to one of their class advisors to check in. This year there was a price increase and a new venue was chosen. Ms.Guerrera stated, “We wanted to increase the limit on the number of students who can attend, so we needed to find a larger venue and with that comes a price increase. We also want to give students attending a better experience.”

Going deeper into the upgraded experience this year’s homecoming will be giving students, Ms.Guerrera shares, “This year the food is warm rolls and butter, caesar salad, meatballs, chicken fingers, penne alla vodka, and roasted potatoes.”

Those considering attending WHS Homecoming, senior Laim Pocesta offers advice saying, “I think everyone should attend homecoming all 4 years. I didn’t and I regret it.” Students and staff are very excited for this year’s dance, and can’t wait for another successful WHS Homecoming!
