October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in recognition, multiple sports held a “Pink Out” night to raise money and show their support in the fight against breast cancer. Most sports, such as Soccer and Football, participated by wearing pink jerseys and other accessories during a home game. The swim team ran their annual duck fundraiser where spectators purchased a duck to commemorate a family or friend that fought against breast cancer. They held a beautiful ceremony to celebrate those loved ones.
Interact club also held a school wide fundraiser to show their support against the fight against breast cancer. All staff and students wore pink for the day and accessories were available for purchase. All the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
