Mia Frenis, a Junior at Watertown High School, received the Student of the Month honor, for the month of October. She believes her hard work and persistence to be better in academics this year which has given her the ability to gain the reward! She was pleasantly surprised to hear that she got the reward, thanking herself for improving in her studies and being determined to complete high school with good grades. Mia’s favorite school subject is Science, which relates to her future path of becoming an Ultrasound Technician after college. To get Student of the Month, she finds that focusing on your school work and doing the best you can will have you succeed!

Veronica Rainone is a Junior at Watertown High School. She is in her second year writing for the school newspaper in Publishing class. She enjoys interviewing different people for her articles and writing various articles – allowing her to work well on the team. For almost 14 years, Veronica has danced as a hobby and has plans to carry the activity into a career as a Street Dance Choreographer. As it has been her second year of writing for the newspaper, she's been given the role of Writing Editor. She guides new students in composing their articles and gives them any extra help that they need.
