The Boys Soccer team has been making waves this season with their strong bond and determination. With most of the varsity players competing together for three years, the chemistry on the field is unmatched. Their positivity, discipline, and team environment have grown, making them a force to be reckoned with. They’ve already beaten teams they didn’t expect to, and heading into the second half of the season, they feel prepared to keep that momentum going. Co-captain Gavin Lauer praised the new coaching staff, saying, “They’ve worked really hard at keeping us intact and making sure we are properly trained.”
The team has set three major goals for this season: place in the top two of the NVL, earn double-digit wins, and finish the season feeling satisfied. Their work ethic shows, as they trained year-round with indoor and outdoor practices to stay ready. Co-captain Jacob Mendello described the team’s connection as a “family-type bond,” and even highlighted how one talented freshman has already stepped up on varsity. With strong leadership, consistent practice, and trust, the team is confident about reaching its goals. To anyone interested in joining next year, Jacob says, “Don’t be worried, just go in and see. Embrace the unknown.”
