The Girls Cross Country team is off to a strong 8-1 start, showing discipline, ambition, and a clear vision for success. The team has bonded through runs, workouts, and even pasta parties the night before meets, which help build spirit and excitement. After losing 3 string seniors last year, the girls are proud of how much they’ve improved together and how the team has stepped up. With encouragement to set personal time goals and take care of their bodies, the team is determined to keep getting better. Their ultimate focus this season is on winning the NVL, and they believe they have what it takes to get there.
A big part of their success comes from their coaching staff, who remain positive while also realistic, reminding the girls they are capable of anything if they keep working hard. The team places a huge emphasis on preparation, from planning strategies to clearing their headspace before each meet. Many of the runners trained individually all summer to stay sharp for the season, showing their dedication to improvement. Newcomers have blended in easily thanks to the warm and welcoming environment the team has built.
