What’s New With Link Crew

Link Crew is a transition program for freshmen that pairs groups of freshmen to a junior or senior buddy, who they can turn to for advice. Midterms will be held at the end of the marking period and freshmen will need help to feel prepared for the upcoming testing. In January, the Link Crew will be holding an event called “Cocoa and Cramming.” Cocoa and Cramming is a study session for freshmen that is held after school in regards to the upcoming midterms. Link Crew advisor, Ms. Auclair said, “so very often freshmen haven’t taken midterms, so they don’t know what to expect. We get all the information from the teachers, and then we have Link Leaders help freshmen study. It’s after school, and we serve hot cocoa and cookies.”

On December 15th, the Link Crew had a dodgeball tournament and a gingerbread house building contest that was held after school. All freshmen who signed up could participate in the activities, whether it was being a part of a team or just spectating; these activities were held in the gymnasium.
