As it gets farther in the year, the Yearbook class is working hard to bring this year’s book to life, gaining valuable skills and experience at a recent Josten’s field trip. Recently, the class took an educational field trip to a convention center to learn more about professional yearbook design, layout, and production. The representatives from Jostens, a yearbook creation company, gave insightful lessons and feedback to schools. Students were also able to trade other yearbooks for inspiration. The trip gave staff members a better understanding of how a yearbook is built from the ground up and helped them improve their own pages with new techniques and ideas. Students have been designing pages, taking photos, and ensuring every person, club, and sport is represented.
Yearbook staff member, Ava Stango, exclaims, “Buying a yearbook is important because it becomes something you can look back on. You might not think you need it now, but in ten years it will remind you of the people, memories, and moments that shaped your high school experience.” She also notes that with prices rising throughout the year, students can save money by ordering sooner rather than later. With the price at $85, now is the perfect time for students to secure their copy.
