On Thursday, June 18th, WHS seniors will take a trip down memory lane as they walk through the halls of John Trumbull Primary School, where their educational journey began. Students will be dressed in their grad gowns and cap offering insight into the future, as all the primary school children will be lining the halls. This event offers one last opportunity to walk the grounds of their old school that once seemed so large, classrooms that sparked academic interest, and reminisce on early childhood memories. Senior Olivia Guerrera stated, “I think it will definitely be emotional to see the place where we all started our education some twelve years ago.” Other seniors are looking forward to seeing old teachers and testing their knowledge to see how much they remember from their early primary school years.
This event will hopefully be sentimental as the 2025-2026 school year comes to an inevitable end and students are prepared to close this chapter of their lives. With that being said, students can expect to experience an emotional roller coaster as they greet primary school children who are just starting while they’re just ending their educational journey with Watertown Public Schools.
