Senior Dress Up Day is a day where seniors get to dress up in the spirit of Halloween. From TV characters to blow up costumes, the halls were filled with fun and creative costumes. Staff members even joined in by dressing up in themed groups.
This year, costumes were judged on 9 categories. The categories were: Best Group, Best Trio, Best Duo, Best Single, Funniest, Most Original, Most Creative, Best DIY, and Best Overall. The complete range of costumes made it hard to choose one single winner but the results are as follows. Best Group was given to the Disney Princesses, the Best Duo was given to Napoleon Dynamite, and Best Trio was dedicated to the students who dressed up as teachers from our own school. Best Single was given to Forrest Gump, Funniest was awarded to a milk costume, Most Original went to the Addams Family, Most Creative was given to ‘Deer in the headlights’, and Betty Boop won Best DIY. Finally, the Best Overall Costume this year went to a giant inflatable gorilla.
This tradition is more than just dressing up for a holiday, for seniors it’s about making memories and sharing laughs during their last year at Watertown High School. Overall Senior Dress Up Day, yet again, proves why it’s been a long-lasting tradition for years.
