On Friday, November 21st, students of WHS came together to dance the night away at this year’s Homecoming. The event was hosted at La Bella Vista in Waterbury at 6:00PM. Students came flooding through the doors and celebrated well into the evening. As many know, the dance floor becomes a mosh pit as soon as the music blares. One student stated, “It gets very crowded, and sometimes ruins it for others who get flung around by the pit’s intensity.” However, the evening calmed down once Homecoming King and Queen were announced. Winning the popular vote were Kendall Croke and Cole Demond! They expressed gratitude by stating, “We are very happy to be chosen as King and Queen, and we are grateful to everyone who voted.” Moreover, thanks to the 2026 Class Officers Fundraising Committee, since this year’s event came equipped with a fancy photobooth available to all students.
Apart from “Dancing Queen” and “FEIN”, the DJ knew exactly what to play to get the students hyped. The DJ incorporated traditional Albanian songs that brought students together to share an enriching tradition. Overall, Homecoming is a time for all students to socialize, dress to impress, and dance the night away.
