Through the week of January 12th-16th, Interact Club hosted a winter clothing drive. They collected clean, gently used sweaters, coats, hats, and other garments to be delivered to local charities and shelters. To incentivize donations, a raffle; Interact planned for those who donated to win a gift card for local restaurants.
The drive was led by Interact Presidents Arwa Doar and Andre Albaralin, who decided that sending warm winter clothing to the needy during this time of year can be a great way to support the community. Mr. Kuegler, the advisor, said, “We care a lot about people being safe and warm.” He also stated that he “enjoys watching students execute ideas like this by reaching out to businesses and practicing their communication skills.”
