This year, the Shamrock Shuffle was held on Saturday, March 11th, containing a series of races, such as the 2.5 mile walk, the 3.5 mile run, and the 1 mile kids mini-shuffle, where all proceeds from participants are being donated to local charities. Such charities were the Water-Oak Circle of Sports Scholarships, the WHS Black Magic Robotics Team, the WHS Theater Program, and WHS Project Graduation. 

March 11th, 2023, also marks the 10th anniversary of the Shamrock Shuffle in Watertown, Connecticut. For the 10th anniversary, there was a first 600 registered guaranteed prize of a 10th anniversary pint glass with the inaugural year logo. The idea of the Shamrock Shuffle started 40 years ago, first starting in 1980, originating in Chicago, Illinois. The Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago also contains a series of races, though the races are slightly different, consisting of an 8k run (approximately 5 miles), a 2 mile walk, and a mile race for youth ages 8 through 12.
