On March 16th, Unified Sports and members of Best Buddies played an exhibition basketball game during the Sheehan and Northwest Catholic CIAC Basketball Final at Mohegan Sun. Watertown played Oxford for a ten-minute exhibition and both teams got to sit court side to watch the championship. “The kids really loved it,” said Best Buddies advisor Mrs. Mcbride, “They got to sign the game ball, [which] is in the trophy case, and they were excited when they came back on Monday and saw the ball in the case. They also really liked seeing all the players and getting into it [and] rooting for the team.” All players on both teams won, and had an experience they’ll never forget.
