On March 12th and 13th after school, Health teacher, Mr. Mamudi, held a March Madness inspired basketball event. There were three events over the course of two days. On the 12th, a three point contest and a hot shot contest was held. On the 13th a three on three tournament was held. The three point competition featured who could make the most three point shots out of 25 shots and the hot shot goal was for who could get the highest score in one minute from different parts of the court which had different values. The three on three tournament was a basic three on three half court game between different teams. The top three finalists for the three point contest were Julius Perez, Lucas Augustine, and Xavier Moreno with Lucas winning the whole contest. Mr. Mamudi captured the win for the hot shot contest. For the last competition, the three on three tournament, the winners were Denis Mustafi, Ian Lena, and Jack Zelek. This was a really cool and fun event to participate in and it brought out a lot of competitiveness in both students and teachers.
