Kaylee Deluca, a Watertown High School senior who committed to Bryant University in Rhode Island, with major Actuarial Science, has received the Student of the Month award for the month of March for her excellent performance in her school work and participation around the school. Kaylee found the award to be a “compliment” on her hard work in her classes and her multiple extracurriculars, including: World Language Honor Society, Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, Interact Club, STEM Club, tutoring for students struggling in classes, and Varsity Cheer for her past years of high school.
She succeeded in her goal for high school, which was to receive many cords for graduation, but for next year, she wants to, “stay on top of work and [her] social life in college.” Kaylee looks up to and admires one of her favorite teachers, Mrs. Saucier, and is beyond content with getting to know her in high school and experience her teaching. Her advice for students who wish they’d receive Student of the Month is to: “Keep doing what you know is right and it won’t go unnoticed.”
