For March Senior Student of the Month, Ms. McBride, life skills teacher, had chosen Eli Rosario. McBride says he was nervous when he first started freshman year, but she’s watched him learn how to be confident in his skills and become a great student.
Eli himself wasn’t expecting to become student of the month, but he believes he was nominated because he works hard and has from the start. His biggest challenge was midterms, but he persevered and continues to excel in his work to stay the great student he is. He says his goal is “to try to drive when I’m ready for it.”
Eli’s favorite subject is art, and he wants to become a cartoonist in the future. He feels inspired by other people’s series and wants to create his own day, using characters he’s drawn. His advice for other students is to “stay on top of your work.”
