Stranger Things, a hit television series worth over $1,000,000 in revenue, will come to an end on December 31st after 10 years of production. Inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, Stranger Things follows a friend group and a strange girl with telepathic abilities, who have to fight otherworldly monsters, their own fear, and middle school politics, in small-town Indiana.
In a culminating final season, Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy, reflects “Everybody’s really anticipating this moment…It’s so complex and layered, all the things that you feel: You’re so grateful, you’re so happy, you’re so, so sad.”
Through four-seasons, the show has garnered the attention of millions world-wide. However, the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, had every intention of ending the show on their own terms. To do the series justice, the Duffer brothers want to supply the most natural ending that will serve the storyline, as opposed to the revenue. Therefore, Stranger Things 5 will be the final season. Nonetheless, the Duffer brothers are confident that, “This is a complete story. It’s done.” Stranger Things will release in three parts: four episodes on November 26th three episodes on Christmas, and the finale on New Year’s Eve, all released at 8:00 PM EST.
