Jasmine Cardenas was chosen as the Junior Student of the Month. When asked how she felt about the win, she said, “It makes me feel proud and appreciated, because it shows that my hard work and effort is being noticed.” Jasmine was nominated by Mr. and Mrs. Kuegler for being an excellent student to have in American Studies. Mrs. Kuegler comments that Jasmine always makes amazing points during group discussions and goes out of her way to help the new student in her class.
However, balancing academics with her personal life isn’t always easy; but, Jasmine stays organized, manages her time wisely, and makes sure she creates space for both school responsibilities and self-care. Her success comes from staying focused in class, completing assignments on time, helping others, and striving to do her best. When it comes to studying, she believes in reviewing notes regularly, studying in small amounts instead of cramming, and asking questions. All of these habits have helped her learn without much stress.
Science is her favorite subject, because it sparks curiosity and challenges her to think in new ways. She also appreciates the school community, describing it as supportive and encouraging. She recognizes that teachers and students motivate one another to succeed. Jasmine’s advice for other students is, “Stay organized, never give up, believe in yourself, and keep a positive mindset no matter the outcome.”
