Caidence Johnson, the Sophomore Student of the Month, was nominated by Ms. Schlatter for her outstanding work in Intro to Ceramics. This recognition is not only a talent, but also her commitment. She believes that the achievement evolves from her willingness to work hard and express herself through her art. Looking ahead, Caidence hopes to maintain strong grades, challenge herself with honors classes, and prepare for acceptance into a good college. While she’s still exploring her options, she knows that her future will be art-related; however, her interests stretch far beyond ceramics. She enjoys English class, reading, and art. She also finds inspiration at home. “My parents are my role models. They’re hard workers and have accomplished a lot, even when it’s really hard for them.” Outside the classroom, she stays active in the school community through theater and the Interact Club.
